Today, Baxa Corporation, headquartered in Englewood, Coloarado announced its acquisition of ForHealth Technologies, Inc., a provider of healthcare software and robotics. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Baxa, which develops products for pharmacies and nursing to enable safe handling, packaging and administration of IV medications, believes this acquisition will expand its offering to customers in pharmacy operations management. ForHealth’s product line includes IntelliFill i.v., a robotic system to prepare IV doses, and IntelliFlowRx™, a workflow management tool to enhance productivity and accuracy for manually prepared IV products. According to Baxa Chairman and CEO Greg Baldwin, “The acquisition of ForHealth is a strategic move that expands our commitment to improving patient safety and enhancing the quality of life.” ForHealth will maintain its US headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida.
