Ping Identity announced the release of PingFederate 6.0, an extension of its Internet Single Sign-On capabilities. Ping’s products, built for deployment within enterprises, enable users to access different systems – whether residing within the enterprise or in the cloud like many SaaS products – via a single username and password sign in. The new additions to the PingFederate 6.0 software now support secure application-to-application transactions over Web Service and Service-Oriented Architectures. Once a user is signed-in and accesses a web application, PingFederate serves as the “glue” that enables the application to share the user’s identity with downstream applications for activities such as partner and supplier transactions. Denver-based Ping Identity is a leading provider of internet identity security.
