High Order Bit announced the release of the second version of TwitBit, which in the original release was the first Twitter iPhone app to feature push notification. Like the first release, the second version also features push notification, yet also includes new features like flickr integration and is geo-enabled to allow users to search for nearby tweets on a map. TwitBit is available in the App Store for download for $2.99. TwitBitLite, which includes the same functionality as the paid version except for the push notification and flickr integration, is also now available for free download. The Boulder, Colorado based High Order Bit team promises that additional premium features are coming to the paid version of TwitBit. For a full discussion of all the new features of TwitBit 2, check out the High Order Bit blog.
