OneRiot and Taptu announced that they have joined forces to create the first ever real time mobile search engine. Taptu, headquartered in Cambridge, U.K, provides a mobile friendly search engine that can be accessed via any mobile browser or an iPhone app, while OneRiot, based in Boulder, Colorado, offers a real time search engine. The mobile offering makes use of OneRiot’s API to bring real time results into searches conducted on Taptu’s search engine by mobile users. OneRiot’s real time results will also soon be incorporated into Taptu’s iPhone app. OneRiot has seen increased press coverage in recent months since the launch of its developer network, most notably the announcement last week that the company would be partnering with Yahoo to provide real time results.
