AmideBio LLC has executed an exclusive license with the University of Colorado to develop, manufacture, and commercialize peptides based on the work of CU Boulder Associate Professor Michael Stowell. The technology licensed encompasses a method to manufacture recombinant proteins and peptides that is believed to be both economically viable and sustainable. Recombinant proteins represent key potential therapeutics in diseases that are difficult to treat with small molecules, and manufacturing remains an important challenge, especially for larger and more complex proteins. AmideBio is based in Boulder, Colorado and led by Misha Plam, who formerly led Boulder-based BiOptix. Michael Stowell serves as the company’s Chief Scientific Officer.
