Medical device company Illumasonix, LLC has executed an exclusive license with University of Colorado (CU) for a non-invasive method to quantitatively evaluate blood flow in the treatment of vascular disease. The technology, invented by Dr. Robin Shandas of CU Boulder, uses ultrasound and FDA approved microbubbles to assess blood flow and detect blockages. [...]
