Many companies have reported awards from the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project Program this week and several Colorado companies are included.
Inviragen (Fort Collins) received two grants totaling $488,958 for ongoing programs to develop vaccines against dengue and chikungunya viruses.

Inviragen and Pharmajet announced that they received a five-year $15.5M contract from National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the NIH, to advance development of a needle free dengue vaccine. Inviragen, based in Fort Collins, Colorado and SingVax, based in Madison, Wisconsin, announced that they have merged and that the combined company has raised a $15M Series A round. Inviragen’s lead product candidate is a vaccine for dengue fever while SingVax brings potential vaccines for hand, foot and mouth disease and Japanese encephalitis. [...]

Inviragen announced that it has been awarded a $600,000 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease to support the development of a Dengue fever vaccine.
